Mason County PAWS to hold art auction, to feature youth artists.
LUDINGTON — Mason County PAWS will hold an art auction on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 beginning at 6 p.m. at the Stearns Hotel ballroom, 212 E. Ludington Ave. Proceeds from the auction will be used to help purchase/build a no kill animal shelter in Mason County that is owned by a nonprofit organization.
Joseph Scott Galleries of Ronkonkoma, NY will auction 150 pieces of art. The final prices usually go from $5 to $500, depending on bidding. To promote the auction, Mason County PAWS held a youth art contest. The winning pieces were sent to New York to be framed and will be available for bidding.
Winners included, Emma Myers, 10, of Lakeland, Fla. first place; Julia Gilchrist, 13, Ludington, Kendra Gilchrist, 15, of Ludington.
