911 asking businesses to update contact information.

WEARE TOWNSHIP (Oceana County) — During an emergency at a commercial or industrial location, it is crucial that the emergency dispatchers have the proper contact information, and other pertinent information. Just recently, a fire department was called to a local bank for a possible fire. The dispatcher did not have the proper contact persons listed, because of outdated information, and it took several minutes to make contact with the appropriate person. Mason-Oceana 911 keeps business contact forms on file so dispatchers can contact the appropriate people in a time of emergency and also provide emergency responders with information that could possibly save property — or more importantly, save lives.

The form can be downloaded here. It includes instructions on how to submit it.
