Obituary: Dennis Gorman, 61, Scottville.

Dennis Robert Gorman, 61, of Scottville, passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2019.

Dennis was born May 6, 1957 to Frederick W. Gorman II & Joan L. Dehoff (LaVance).  Dennis graduated from Mason County Central High School, class of 1975.  He was employed by Bigard & Huggard Drilling Inc. as a rough-neck and as a commercial journeyman contractor all over the USA, he also worked as merchant marine seaman with his brother Fred. Dennis retired around 2010. Dennis enjoyed his time watching Sunday football and baseball with his fellow sports-fan & best bud Dan McKimmy. Dennis was an avid sports fan and knew all the statistics.

Dennis is survived by his brother, Steven Gorman; sister, Laura Prutch; nieces, Lindsey Prutch and Ariana Gorman; nephews, Paul and Julian Gorman; along with his aunts, uncles, cousins, and his cat buddy “Stomper”.

 Besides his parents, Dennis was preceded in death by his brothers, Frederick W. Gorman III, Michael James Gorman; uncle Lyle Dehoff, aunt Joyce Dehoff (Pullen) and his Grandpa and Grandma, Roy and Wilhelminia DeHoff.

In lieu of flowers, please plant a sunflower this spring as it was his favorite flower. Memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society. 

An outdoor Celebration of Life/Memorial Service will be held on May 5, 2019 at 2 p.m.. at 3307 S. Schwass Rd, in Riverton Twp., on Denny’s Homestead.
