Coatless man runs from police in frigid conditions.

PERE MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP – A 20-year-old Ludington man was arrested by a Mason County sheriff’s deputy after fleeing on foot in single-digit temperatures while wearing a t-shirt Sunday, Jan. 20, shortly before 3 a.m. at Bryant and Sherman roads.
“The deputy observed a man walking in the road wearing only a black t-shirt and pants – it was 2 degrees outside,” said Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole. “When the deputy attempted to make contact, the man fled on foot. Following a short foot chase, the subject was captured. He was found to be underage and had been drinking.”
The suspect was arrested for disorderly person and resisting and obstructing a police officer.

- 6:51 p.m., (MCSO), damaged property, vehicle window, Pere Marquette Highway and Iris Road, Pere Marquette Township. The victim reported that her vehicle window shattered as she drove down the road.
- 7:14 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, US 10 west of Campbell Road, Branch Township.
- 8:24 p.m., (LPD), malicious destruction of property, 1100 Conrad Road, City of Ludington.
- 9:20 p.m., (LPD), domestic assault, 600 block of East Whittier Street, City of Ludington.
- 10:42 p.m., (MCSO), hotel eviction due to a disturbance, Best Western Hotel, 5000 block of West US 10, Pere Marquette Township. Subjects were asked to leave the hotel following a disturbance and argument in one of the rooms. Case closed.

- 2:24 a.m., (MCSO) a 27-year-old Ludington woman was arrested for operating while intoxicated following a traffic stop, Ludington Avenue and Madison Street, City of Ludington.

- 8:08 a.m., (MCSO), alarm activation, Summit Township.
