Fire truck, ambulance hit deer; tree stands stolen.

MASON COUNTY – The Hart post of the Michigan State Police and the Mason County Sheriff’s Office have reported several vehicle vs. deer crashes over the last few days, including a fire truck and an ambulance that struck deer.
A fire truck hit a deer Monday, Oct. 22, at 3:04 a.m. at Fountain and Custer roads in Sherman Township, said MSP Sgt. Charles Hockanson. Then, at 9:49 p.m. Monday, an ambulance collided with a deer at US 10 and Stiles Road in Amber Township.
Two tree stands and a trail camera were reported stolen to the sheriff’s office Monday at 5:44 p.m. in the 2500 block of South Lakeshore Drive in Pere Marquette Township. “The victim had two tree stands and a trail camera stolen off his property,” said Mason County Sheriff’s Kim Cole.
A tree stand was reported stolen to the state police Monday at 6:26 p.m. at Custer and Koenig roads in Free Soil Township, Hockanson said.

– 8:08 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injuries, Jebavy Drive south of Dewey Road, Hamlin Township.
– 4:43 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injuries, Bryant Road west of Jebavy Drive, Pere Marquette Township.
– 8:38 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, US 31 freeway near Pere Marquette Highway overpass, Summit Township.
