LUDINGTON – The following proceedings recently occurred in Mason County’s 79th District Court:

Sentencings

– Corey Evan Carsten, 33, of 802 N. St. Paul St., Ludington, pleaded “no contest” Oct. 10 to prohibited use of chemical agents and was sentenced to 42 days in jail with credit for 42 days served; outpatient treatment; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; no alcohol/drugs; subject to random preliminary breath tests (PBTs) and drug tests; must comply with all recommendations of Community Mental Health; and $285 in fines and costs.

– Richard Lee Beck, 45, of 214 Second St., Ludington, was found guilty Oct. 11 of driving while license not valid and was sentenced to $125 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).

– Kyle Theodore Lunde, 41, of 406 E. Court St., Ludington, was found guilty Oct. 11 of transporting open intoxicants and was sentenced to $265 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Zachary Guy Adams, 24, of 7250 Frith Rd., St. Clair, was found guilty Oct. 10 of using a treble hook in the Pere Marquette River and was sentenced to $220 in fines and costs.

– Austin Jay Keane, 33, of 7631 Hickory Ave., Jenison, was found guilty Oct. 11 of possessing a fish without a license and was sentenced to $250 in fines and costs.

– Dale Wesley Jones, 56, of 13320 Delavern St., Gibralter, was found guilty Oct. 9 of illegally taking a fish and was sentenced to $725 in fines and costs.

– John Robert Thiele, 67, of 1261 Center St., Muskegon, was found guilty Oct. 11 of excessive bait and was sentenced to $185 in fines and costs.

Dismissals

– Troy Douglas Henney, 34, of 7911 Navajo Trail, Branch Township, one count of driving while license suspended (DWLS) was dismissed Oct. 9 due to the “interests of justice,” his court file states.

– Tiffanie Renae Morgan, 30, of 7275 White Swan Lane, Hamlin Township, one count of operating without insurance was dismissed Oct. 9 after she pleaded guilty to a lesser charge.

– Brandon Lynn Dixion, 20, of 2060 E. Wilson Rd., Custer Township, charges of operating without insurance and unlawful license plate were dismissed after he pleaded guilty to a lesser charge.

Misdemeanor arraignments

– Ernest Lee Lefevre, 39, of 917 N. Lavinia St., Ludington; Ludington Police Department (LPD); receiving and concealing stolen property. Pretrial: Oct. 30 at 11:30 a.m. Bail: $2,500/personal.

– Donald Sanchez Delapaz, 35, of 1700 La Belle St., Grand Rapids; LPD; second-offense domestic violence. Pretrial: Nov. 5 at 10:45 a.m. Bail: $10,000/cash/surety.

– Daniel Mardsen Cordova, 36, of 139 S. Walhalla Rd., Branch Township; Michigan State Police, Hart post; operating a vehicle while intoxicated, Pretrial: Nov. 5 at 11:30 a.m. Bail: $2,500/10 percent.
