LUDINGTON – The following were sentenced recently in Mason County’s 79th District Court on misdemeanor charges:
– James Robert Koert, 66, of 16535 Taft, Spring Lake, was found guilty Sept. 26 of attempted assaulting/resisting/obstructing police and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; one year discretionary jail for one year; no alcohol/drugs; subject to random preliminary breath tests (PBTs); and $815 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS). Charges of marine safety – reckless operation, marine safety – operated while ordered not to operate and fourth-degree fleeing police were dismissed.
– Joleigh Marie Braman, 25, of 13247 Winding Creek Dr., Grand Haven, was found guilty Sept. 27 of driving while license suspended (DWLS) and operating with a forged/altered license and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year for count 1; 90 days discretionary jail for one year for count 2; and $615 in fines and costs. Restitution is reserved. Conviction reportable to SOS.
– Andrew Zackary Perez, 32, of 221 Hoyt St., Owosso, was found guilty Oct. 1 of disorderly person/disturbing the peace and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail for one year and $285 in fines and costs.
– Maura Sue Gilbert, 30, of 2435 N. 18th St., Sheridan Township, was found guilty Oct. 1 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; and $335 in fines and costs.
– Mario Rodriguez, 42, of 2433 Colony Way, Yipsilanti, was found guilty Oct. 2 of illegal fishing gear and was sentenced to $220 in fines and costs.
– Larry D. Hughes, 67, of 3699 N. 175, Warsaw, Indiana, was found guilty Oct. 2 of using a treble hook and was sentenced to $220 in fines and costs.
– Charles A. Baer, 66, of 53420 Pine Dr., Middlebury, Indiana, was found guilty Oct. 2 of using a treble hook and was sentenced to $220 in fines and costs.
