Suspect runs away from police during traffic stop.

SCOTTVILLE – A 20-year-old Scottville man was arrested by the Mason County Sheriff’s Office Wednesday evening, Oct. 3, after he ran from a vehicle he was riding in that was pulled over by a deputy for speeding, said Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

“The suspect ran into a house and into a back room where he was taken into custody,” said Cole. The incident occurred at 6:13 p.m. ​in the 300 block of South Main Street.

The suspect was arrested for fourth-offense minor in possession of alcohol, probation violation, and a felony of resisting and obstructing a police officer.
