Scottville seeking rocks to prevent PM River erosion.

SCOTTVILLE — Scottville Mayor Bruce Krieger has put out a call for people to donate rocks to the city to be used to help stabilize the banks from erosion along the Pere Marquette River at Riverside Park. Krieger said the Pere Marquette Watershed and Conservation Resource Alliance have agreed to request the proper permits from the state of Michigan for the project.

Those who have large rocks that they would like to donate for the project may deliver the rocks to the Scottville Department of Public Works building on West First Street. A designated drop off area will be marked.
