Charity sew being offered at Scottville senior center.

SCOTTVILLE — Charity Sew sessions are being offered at the Scottville Area Senior Center beginning Thursday, Sept. 6 from noon to 4 p.m. The sessions will meet the first Thursday of the month. Participants will have the opportunity to construct hand crafted items to benefit various facilities such as adult foster care homes, nursing homes, Hospice, the Mitten Tree, cancer centers, and the PoWeR Book Bag program.

Many of the supplies will be provided, however participants are welcome to contribute to the projects as well. A couple extra sewing machines will be available but participants are encouraged to bring their own machines. The projects will vary from month to month. Often pre-cut kits will be available for those who prefer to sew at home.

The senior center is located at 140 S. Main Street.
