Man arrested after grabbing women at Dollar Tree.

PERE MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP — A 59-year-old Ludington man was arrested at the Dollar Tree store Saturday afternoon, Aug. 25, after allegedly “grabbing women” while at the business and then obstructing arrest, according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

The man was arrested for disorderly person and obstructing a police officer “following a 911 call reporting a subject harassing and grabbing women at a local business. When approached by law enforcement, the subject started yelling and swearing at the deputy, and when told he was under arrest, attempted to pull away from the deputy,” Cole said.

– 8:58 a.m., (MCSO), larceny of a garbage can, 500 block of North Meyers Road, Pere Marquette Township. The victim reported that some time during the night someone removed the trash bags from the garbage can and took the 96-gallon garbage can, leaving the bags of trash in the yard.

– 2:30 p.m., (MCSO), one-vehicle crash, no injury, Free Soil Road near Reek Road, Free Soil Township.

– 9:58 p.m., (Michigan State Police), a 35-year-old Muskegon woman was arrested for driving an unregistered vehicle and driving without insurance, US 10 east of Pere Marquette Highway, Pere Marquette Township.
