Car stolen during home invasion.

EDEN TOWNSHIP — The Mason County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a home invasion and theft of a 2011 White Chevy Malibu that occurred shortly after 2 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 2, in the 2900 block of South Custer Road, said Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

The homeowner was awakened during the break-in by his dog barking, Cole said.

“The homeowner found a door to the home open and his vehicle missing from the driveway,” the sheriff said. The stolen Malibu has a Michigan registration of DGG0564 with a “VanderHaag Used Car” sticker on the back.
