Bare sighting at the rest area (not bear). 

SUMMIT TOWNSHIP — Deputies from Mason County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a naked man running around the Ludington rest area along US 31 at 11:20 p.m. Monday, June 4. When deputies arrived, they were unable to locate the man.

Other activity of local law enforcement for June 4 included:

  • 5:30 a.m., Mason County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injuries, US 31 south of Hansen Road, Custer Township.
  • 9:38 a.m., MCSO, gas drive off of $11.73, Airport Shell, 5445 W. US 10, Pere Marquette Township.
  • 9:46 a.m., MCSO, car/deer crash, no injuries, US 10 and Poplar Road, Custer Township.
  • 9:53 a.m., Ludington Police Department (LPD), breaking and entering, 400 block of North Ferry Street, City of Ludington.
  • 1:18 p.m., MCSO, larceny complaint, 400 block of South Pere Marquette Highway, Pere Marquette Township.
  • 5:15 p.m., LPD, domestic situation, Ludington Avenue and Stearns Outer Drive, City of Ludington.
  • 8:54 p.m., LPD, domestic situation, 800 block of East Danaher Street, City of Ludington.
  • 9:54 p.m., MCSO, car/deer crash, no injuries, Jebavy Drive south of Dewey Road, Hamlin Township.
