Youth theater coming to Scottville Clown Band Shell.

SCOTTVILLE — The Stage Left Theatre Company is offering free youth theatre workshops during the month of June that will culminate in a live performance on Saturday, June 30 from 2-4 p.m. at the Scottville Clown Band Shell adjacent to the Scottville Optimist Center.

Mentor directors Kara Rose, Michelle Kiessel, and Joe Clark will oversee Student Directors who have already worked extensively with Stage Left as they teach participants the fundamentals of acting and prepare them for the performance.

Workshop information is as follows:

Children entering second and third grades will be directed by Erin Thibault and Matt Rasgaitis, with workshops being held on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from June 11 through June 28, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Ludington Area Center for the Arts.

Children entering fourth through sixth grades will be directed by Kat Catron and Trenton Wahr, with workshops being held on Mondays and Wednesdays from June 4 through 27, from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Ludington Area Center for the Arts.

Children entering seventh and eighth grades will be directed by Harper Klotz and Carlos Ortega, with workshops being held on Monday through Thursday from June 4 through 28, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Rotary Park in downtown Ludington.

The workshops are free but space is limited to 20 students per age group. Pre-registration is required by June 1st and can be found at www.stageleftmi.org/upcoming-events.
