Stolen Jeep recovered at cemetery.

RIVERTON TOWNSHIP — A 2005 Jeep that had been reported stolen was recovered Thursday, March 1, in the Riverton Cemetery on West Hawley Road, said Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

Sheriff’s deputies recovered the Jeep following a “suspicious” vehicle call Thursday afternoon, Cole said. The vehicle had been reported stolen out of the City of Scottville Monday.

The following is other recent activity of the Mason County Sheriff’s Office:

Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2018:

– 2:42 p.m., a 33-year-old Branch Township man was arrested on an outstanding Oceana County misdemeanor warrant, 4000 block of South Masten Road, Logan Township.

– 6:44 p.m., car/deer crash, no injuries, Stiles Road north of Johnson Road, Amber Township.

Thursday, March 1, 2018:

– 10:19 a.m., a 29-year-old Ludington man was arrested for probation violation and possession of cocaine following a suspicious person call, 5400 block of West US 10, Pere Marquette Township.

– 4 p.m., a 26-year-old Victoria, Texas woman was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Mason County, 100 block of South Stephens Avenue, Branch Township.
