Meth lab components found on Custer Twp. road, sheriff warns of dangers.

CUSTER TOWNSHIP — The Mason County Sheriff’s Office reported that over the weekend a citizen found a methamphetamine lab component on Cable Road east of Custer Road. The component was a green bottle with surgical tubing sticking out of the top.

This particular bottle was still releasing measurable amounts of gas and had to be disposed of by a specially trained hazmat team,” Sheriff Kim Cole said. “If you happen to come across any such items, please do not touch them and notify law enforcement immediately by calling 911.”

The item was found at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 25.
