79th District Court sentencings, dismissals posted Jan. 26, 2018.

LUDINGTON — The following were sentenced recently in 79th District Court:

– Steven Douglas Jolly, 59, of 310 S. Jackson, Ludington, was found guilty Jan. 16 of two counts of domestic violence and was sentenced to 30 days in jail with credit for 30 days served; outpatient counseling; 93 days discretionary jail for two years; no alcohol/drugs; must attend Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) for two years; subject to random preliminary breath tests (PBTs); and $995 in fines and costs. Two counts of third-degree child abuse were dismissed.

– Brayden Paul Chavlia, 23, of 156 Bonnie Rd., Pere Marquette Township, was found guilty Jan. 16 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; Alcohol Highway Safety Education (AHSE); 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend the next session of the Victims’ Impact Panel (VIP); no alcohol/drugs; subject to random PBTs; and $895 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).

– Matthew James-Raymond Bailey, 18, of 5766 W. Chauvez Rd., Riverton Township, was found guilty Jan. 18 of failure to display a valid license and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend school every day with no unexcused absences or tardies; must operate a vehicle only within the guidelines of his restricted license; and $275 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Kyle David Ramirez-Winters, 25, of 912 N. Harrison St., Ludington, pleaded “no contest” Jan. 16 to assault and battery and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must have a substance abuse evaluation and follow recommendations; no alcohol/drugs; subject to random PBTs and drug tests; and $535 in fines and costs.

– Jacob Jason Kequom, 35, of 909 1/2 Davis St., Manistee, was found guilty Jan. 16 of malicious destruction of property and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail for one year; no contact with the victim; and $620 in fines, costs and restitution. One count of larceny less than $200 was dismissed.

– Melissa Rae Vega, 37, of 4730 E. Deer Rd., Sheridan Township, was found guilty Jan. 16 of false pretenses less than $200 and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; and $665 in fines and costs or perform 67 hours of community service within six months. One count of stealing/retaining and financial transaction device without consent was dismissed.

– Richard Matthew Fisher, 34, of 4954 S. Eden Lake Rd., Eden Township, was found guilty Jan. 22 of failure to report an accident and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail for one year; no alcohol/drugs; subject to random PBTs; must have a substance abuse evaluation and follow recommendations; and $325 in fines and costs.

– Ryan William Camp, 30, of 149 Eagle Dr., Muskegon, was found guilty Jan. 22 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; and $335 in fines and costs.

– Megan Lynn Brown, 25, of 1789 S. 58th St., Shelby, was found guilty Jan. 16 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; AHSE; must attend next session of VIP; no alcohol/drugs; subject to random PBTs; and $895 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Jorden Michael Shafer, 28, of 2239 E. Morrison Rd., Custer, was found guilty Jan. 18 of disorderly person – jostling and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; must have domestic violence evaluation and follow recommendations; and $285 in fines and costs. One count of domestic violence was dismissed.

Dismissals

– Francisco Sanchez, 41, of 502 Harrison St., Ludington, one count of operating with a forged/altered/false license was dismissed Jan. 11. “Defendant has presented proof that his real name is Alfonso Narvaez. Therefore, People cannot prove he made a false statement to law enforcement. Defendant has pleaded to the underlying charge,” his court file states.

– Mason Travis Wild, 23, of 193 E. Emerson Lake Dr., Branch, one count of operating without insurance was dismissed Jan. 9. He pleaded to a lesser offense, his court file states.

– Trenton Louis Sanford, 17, of 2876 Pere Marquette Hwy., Ludington, charges of malicious destruction of property less than $200 and failure to report and accident to fixtures were dismissed Jan. 18 “per prosecutor’s deferral agreement with community service,” according to court records.

– Tiffanie Renae Morgan, 29, no address listed, charges of second-degree home invasion and malicious destruction to a building less than $200 were dismissed Jan. 22. “The ends of justice do not require further prosecution,” her court file states.
