LUDINGTON — Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital recently held an art contest at Ludington Area Schools for its pediatric Reach Out & Read program. Thirteen students in grades K-12 were selected as winners and received a certificate from the hospital and a $10 gift card from Storybook Village in Pentwater.
The winning artwork will be displayed at Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital Pediatrics at 907 E. Tinkham Avenue. Reach Out & Read is designed to promote reading and literacy in children by having pediatricians prescribe and hand out age-appropriate books to children during well child visits.
