‘Suspicious’ men approach teens at Meijer.

AMBER TOWNSHIP — The Mason County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a “suspicious situation” reported Saturday, Oct. 21, at 4:30 p.m. at the Meijer store on US 10, according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.
“Two females, ages 18 and 19, reported they were approached by two Hispanic men and asked questions related to if they were alone, lived in the area, had boyfriends, how old they were, etc.,” Cole said. “Deputies are awaiting security footage.”

7:47 a.m., (LPD), car/deer crash, East Bryant Street and North Washington Avenue, City of Ludington.
9:30 a.m., (MCSO), gas drive-off, 5900 block of West US 10, Ludington EZ Mart, Pere Marquette Township. The store reported that a subject pumped $37.10 in diesel fuel and $37.50 in unleaded fuel and left without entering the store.
10:24 a.m., (MCSO), one-vehicle crash, no injuries, 5800 block of Bryant Road, Pere Marquette Township.
11:20 a.m., (LPD), larceny, 1000 bock of North Washington Avenue, City of Ludington.
11:48 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, with injuries, northbound US 31 freeway and Pere Marquette Highway, Pere Marquette Township. A 40-year-old Spring Lake woman received minor injuries after the vehicle she was riding in struck a deer.
12:33 p.m., (LPD), domestic assault, 400 block of East First Street, City of Ludington.
4:14 p.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle crash, minor injuries, Pere Marquette Highway and Kistler Road, Summit Township. A 17-year-old Ludington woman and her 17-year-old passenger received minor injuries after their vehicle rear-ended a pickup truck which was stopped waiting to make a left turn onto Kistler Road.

10:11 p.m., (Michigan State Police), a 30-year-old Fountain man was arrested for DWLS, Rasmussen Road near Jebavy Drive, Pere Marquette Township.
Sunday, Oct. 22, 2017:
7:30 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injuries, Decker Road and Rath Avenue, Hamlin Township.
11:01 a.m., (MCSO), DWLS citation, Quarterline Road and West Forest Trail, Grant Township. A 38-year-old Lansing woman was cited following a traffic stop, where she was stopped for speeding, driving 75 in 55-mph zone. Following the stop, a licensed passenger drove the vehicle.
1:28 p.m., (MCSO), DWLS arrest, US 31 freeway near Pere Marquette Highway, Pere Marquette Township. The driver in the above-listed incident was stopped and arrested after the same deputy who had stopped her earlier, was clearing a call on the freeway when she passed by him driving…again. She was arrested and lodged in the Mason County Jail.
2:08 p.m., (LPD), domestic assault, 700 block of East Ludington Avenue, City of Ludington.
3:44 p.m., (LPD), breaking and entering, 300 block of North Robert Street, City of Ludington.
10:48 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injuries, Pere Marquette Highway and Lenz Road, Pere Marquette Township.
11:45 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injuries, Sugar Grove and Schoenherr roads, Sheridan Township.
