Man, 83, arrested for drunk driving following reports of a reckless driver.

PERE MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP — An 83-year-old Ludington man was arrested for operating while intoxicated (OWI) Friday, Oct. 6, shortly before 6 p.m. “following three separate calls of a reckless driver in the US 10 and Jebavy Drive area,” said Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.
“The driver was eventually located and arrested,” Cole said.

Friday, Oct. 6, 2017:
– 1:53 a.m., (Michigan State Police), a 16-year-old Ludington boy was cited for driving an unregistered vehicle, unlawful license plate use and driving without insurance, Tinkham Avenue and Mona Drive, City of Ludington.
– 2 a.m., (MSP), car/deer crash, Gordon and Conrad roads, Amber Township.
– 2:55 a.m., (MSP), a 26-year-old Manistee woman was arrested for operating while under the influence of drugs, Fountain and Angling roads, Victory Township.
– 2:57 a.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), warrant arrest, Fountain and Angling roads, Victory Township. A 28-year-old Manistee man was arrested following a traffic stop on an outstanding failure to appear warrant in Manistee County.
– 7:26 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injuries, Reek and Dewey roads, Sherman Township.
– 8:31 a.m., (Ludington Police Department), criminal sexual conduct (CSC), 200 block of South Delia Street, City of Ludington.
– 8:32 a.m., (LPD), CSC, 800 block of East Diana Street, City of Ludington.
– 2:03 p.m., (MCSO), damaged mailbox, 1200 block of West Dewey Road, Victory Township. A mailbox was knocked over, and the post was broken.
– 3:13 p.m., (MCSO), gas drive-off, $36.73 in fuel stolen, 5900 block of West US 10, Ludington EZ Mart, Pere Marquette Township.
– 4:46 p.m., (MCSO), retail fraud, 4800 block of West US 10, Walmart, Pere Marquette Township. The case remains under investigation.
Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017:
– 1:22 a.m., (MSP), a 34-year-old Ludington woman was arrested for OWI, Jebavy Drive and Bryant Road, Pere Marquette Township.
– 1:40 a.m., (MCSO), larceny of services, US 10 and Pere Marquette Highway, Pere Marquette Township. “A female reportedly called for a cab; took a ride to the east end of Mason County; and exited the cab, stating she would be right back to make payment on the $45.25 fare but never returned,” said Sheriff Cole.
– 2:02 a.m., (LPD), shots fired, South Lincoln and East Seventh streets, City of Ludington.
– 2:14 a.m., (LPD), disturbance, 100 block of West Ludington Avenue, City of Ludington.
– 2:37 p.m., (MSP), two-vehicle crash, Hansen and Quarterline roads, Amber Township.
– 5:18 a.m., (LPD), assault, 400 block of East Foster Street, City of Ludington.
– 8:46 a.m., (MCSO), 26-year-old Scottville man was arrested for OWI following a traffic stop, northbound US 31 near the Pere Marquette Highway exit, Pere Marquette Township.
– 11:36 a.m., (MCSO), damaged property, 2000 block of West Beyer Road, Victory Township. The victim reported a hunting blind damaged.
– 2:09 p.m., (MCSO), a 33-year-old Ludington man was arrested for domestic violence following a 911 call, Wilderness Trail, Pere Marquette Township.
– 4:50 p.m., (LPD), shots fired, East Second Street, City of Ludington.
– 10 p.m., (MCSO) two-vehicle hit-and-run crash, no injuries, Travis and Weimer roads, Hamlin Township.
– 10:23 p.m., (LPD), disorderly person, 300 block of South James Street, City of Ludington.

– 10:19 a.m., (MCSO), a 26-year-old Scottville man was arrested for DWLS and possession of marijuana following a traffic stop, Chauvez and Stiles roads, Riverton Township.
