LUDINGTON — A new housing development is planned for property between the SS Badger’s dock and Waterfront Marina, near the corner of South Rath and East Dowland Street. According to the development’s Facebook page, Maritime Cottages and Resort will consist of 16 single family site condominiums, with prices ranging from just under $400,000 to just under $500,000. The Facebook page states that sites will be available for move-in by June 2018.

The development is being planned by Brice Bossardet of Virgin Soil International of Grand Rapids.

“The main goal is to build a lifestyle community within a larger community – something that everyone can be proud of,” Bossardet stated on the Facebook page.

Heather Tykoski, the City of Ludington’s community development director, confirmed that Bossardet has met with city officials about the development plan.

Bossardet said on Facebook that he is in the engineering and permitting process.

He has also developed a residential unit in downtown Manistee called Chippewa Cottages and Resort, according to his company’s website.
