Scottville man allegedly hits brother with saw.

CUSTER TOWNSHIP — A 36-year-old Scottville man was arrested by Mason County sheriff’s deputies Saturday, July 29, at 7 p.m. for assault with a dangerous weapon after he reportedly struck his brother in the face with a hand saw, according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.
The suspect’s brother, a 27-year-old Scottville man, was arrested for assault following the fight in the 400 block of East Hansen Road, Cole said.

Friday, July 28, 2017:
– 6:40 a.m., car/deer crash, no injuries, Dewey and Reek roads, Sherman Township.
– 7:12 a.m., a 14-year-old Ludington youth was arrested and turned over to Mason County Juvenile Court authorities following a traffic stop for driving while license suspended (DWLS)/no operator’s license and minor in possession of alcohol (MIP), and his 17-year-old passenger from Fountain was cited for MIP and allowing a minor to operate a motor vehicle, Rath Avenue and Pere Marquette Highway, City of Ludington.
– 11:34 a.m., a 28-year-old Fountain man was arrested for probation violation, East Oak Ridge, Sheridan Township.

Saturday, July 29, 2017:
– 1:05 a.m., a 39-year-old Manistee man and a 33-year-old Manistee woman were both arrested for illegal entry at the former Camp Sauble prison on East Free Soil Road in Free Soil Township following a 911 call of a suspicious vehicle at the old Camp Sauble buildings. “The pair was found hiding under a stairwell in a building,” the sheriff said.
– 9:14 a.m., gas drive-off, $24.90 in fuel stolen, Scottville EZ Mart, 400 block of East US 10, Custer Township.
– 4:12 p.m, a 32-year-old Ludington woman was arrested on charges of possession of heroin, possession of a schedule II narcotic, DWLS and on a felony warrant following a traffic stop, US 10 and Brye Road, Amber Township.
– 10:30 p.m., car/deer crash, no injuries, US 31 freeway near Meisenheimer Road, Summit Township.
