K-9 leads deputies to suspect who fled out window.

SHERIDAN TOWNSHIP — A 40-year-old Ludington man who fled out of a back window at a Tallman Lake home on 21st Street was arrested after being tracked by Cash, the Mason County Sheriff’s Office K-9, Friday afternoon, July 7, according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

The suspect was wanted on a warrant for probation violation and a 51st Circuit Court child support warrant, Cole said. “He was tracked by K-9 Cash a short distance where he was located at another residence.”

Deputies initially responded to the residence at 1:30 p.m. on an unrelated matter, the sheriff said. “During the course of that investigation, deputies learned the suspect had fled out a back window.”

– 7:53 p.m., (MSP), trespassing, under investigation, 4000 block of South Ordway Road, Custer Township.

– 8:49 p.m., (MCSO), a 27-year-old Ludington woman was arrested on six outstanding warrants, 6100 block of South Brye Road, Riverton Township. Four the warrants were issued in Mason County —three for contempt of court and one for failure to appear. Two warrants were issued in Oceana County for failure to appear, Cole said.
