Oceana County man charged with CSC, extortion.

LUDINGTON — A 34-year-old Oceana County man was arrested by the Mason County Sheriff’s Office Thursday afternoon, July 6, on two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct (CSC) and one count of extortion.

Richard Edward Uhl was arrested on a warrant alleging that he engaged in sexual relations with a child under the age of 14 over a two-year period, said Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole. Uhl was arrested in the City of Ludington at 3:15 p.m. after detectives secured the warrant. The investigation began June 24 in the Village of Custer, Cole said.

Uhl is lodged in the Mason County Jail on a $100,000 cash/surety bond.
