Breaking into vehicle; drug charges top recent arraignments

LUDINGTON — The following were recently arraigned in Mason County’s 79th District Court:

Felonies

Martinez

-Michael Thomas Martinez, 32, no address listed, was arrested June 22 by the Ludington Police Department (LPD) on felony charges of breaking and entering a motor vehicle to steal property $1,000 or more but less than $20,000 and breaking and entering a motor vehicle to steal property $200 or more but less than $1,000.  The State, Sheriffs, Chiefs Enforcement Narcotics Team (SSCENT) also charged him with felony possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana. Preliminary hearing: July 12 at 11:15 a.m. Bail: $7,500/10 percent.

Walkley

-Crystal Mickele Walkley, 31, no address listed, was arrested June 23 by SSCENT for felony possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana. Preliminary hearing: July 12 at 11:15 a.m. Bail: $7,500/10 percent.

Misdemeanors

-Chadwick Brian Tolin, 26, of 234 ½ Fifth St., Manistee; June 24; Michigan State Police (MSP); receiving and concealing stolen property, failure to report an accident, improper plates, second-offense driving a motor vehicle while license suspended (DWLS), malicious damage to a traffic control device, and operating a vehicle without security (no insurance). Pretrial: July 31 at 2 p.m. Bail: $5,000/10 percent.

-Crysta Marie Martin, 30, of 113 Lancer Ln., Lot 33, Pere Marquette Township; June 24; Mason County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO); operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated or under the influence (OWI). Pretrial: July 31 at 1:45 p.m. Bail: $2,500/10 percent.

-Zeke William Smith, 31, of 105 E. Fifth St., Pinconning, Michigan; June 22; MCSO; OWI and second-offense DWLS. Pretrial: July 10 at 1:30 p.m. Bail: $3,500/10 percent.

-Jesse Alan Daniel Weppler, 29, of 11769 N. Charloon Dr., Manistee; June 26; MSP; aggravated assault. Pretrial: July 24 at 2 p.m. Bail: $5,000/10 percent.
