SCOTTVILLE — Mason County Central Schools will be closed Monday, May 1, due to a collapsed sewer pipe at the middle school. The closing includes all the school’s buildings, including Victory Early Childhood Center, because the middle school kitchen is the district’s preparation site for school lunches. According to a message alert that went out to district parents and staff Saturday, the school is expected to be open again on Tuesday.

Meal service, which will be prepared at the high school, will still be served to Scottville Area Senior Center, Tallman Senior Center, Ludington Senior Center, Meals on Wheels, Ludington Area Catholic School, West Shore Educational Service District, Gateway To Success, and Fountain Head Start.
