FRANKENMUTH — Lindsay Larsen of Victory Township was appointed the senior representative of the Michigan Dairy Ambassador Program during the Great Lakes Regional Dairy Conference last week.

Larsen, the daughter of Burke and Lisa Larsen, owners of Larsen’s Farms of Scottville, was selected among 10 college students to represent the Michigan dairy industry over the next year. As a recipient, the Siena Heights University junior will also receive a $1,500 scholarship.

The judging process included attending communication trainings and various seminars, along with interviews in front of three industry judges, Lindsay said.

“My duties for the next year include attending many events as the senior ambassador representative and communicating with the public about milk products and the dairy industry,” she said.
