LOGAN TOWNSHIP — A deer hunter was reportedly assaulted in the woods by two people on the opening day of firearm deer season Tuesday, Nov. 15, 10 a.m. The pair stole the hunter’s deer, according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

The assault and theft occurred in Section 21 of Logan Township, Cole said. “The victim reportedly shot a deer and was confronted by two subjects who assaulted him and took the deer.”
