Rose Mary (RoseMary) Hansen, 88, peacefully passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at her home in Ludington. 

RoseMary was born to the late Joseph and Nellie (Moran) Gibbs on June 10, 1928 in Manistee.  She attended Manistee High School and graduated with the class of 1946.  She married Arthur Hansen on October 2, 1948 at the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church of Manistee.

RoseMary was a homemaker and avid volunteer in her community and church.  She especially enjoyed helping at the Open Gate Thrift Shop.  She also worked as a telephone operator for five years.  She was a member of Grace Episcopal Church of Ludington.  She served on the Vestry and was a former directress of the Alter Guild for many years.  She was a member of the Daughters of the King, Episcopal Church Women and recipient of the Bishop’s Cross.  Her hobbies included knitting, crafts, hiking, bicycling, canoeing and spending time with her family.  She was also a published poet. 

She is survived by her daughters: Deborah (Henry) LaFever of Muskegon, Janet (Dr. Robert) Anthony of Millersburg, Ohio; brothers: Joseph Moran of Myrtle Beach, SC, John Moran of Ashland, Wis., and Gertrude Swallow of Grand Blanc; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

There will be a service held in memory of RoseMary on Thursday November 10, 2016 at 3 p.m. at Grace Episcopal Church with Father Mic Shriver officiating.  There will be a one hour visitation from 2 to 3 p.m. prior to the service.  A burial will be held the following day, Friday, November 11, 2016 at 11 am. at Lakeview Cemetery of Ludington.
