Squires named as a Fellow of Palmer Academy of Chiropractic.

Dr. Lewis Squires was recently named a Fellow in the Palmer Academy of Chiropractic. The individuals inducted are leaders in the profession and their communities, as well as supporters of Palmer College.

Squires graduated from Palmer in 1974 and has been in practice in Scottville since 1978. Known for his inclusive and collaborative leadership style, he was a long-time member and served as president of the Michigan Chiropractic Society from 1998 to 2001. He currently serves on the Michigan Association of Chiropractors Board of Directors. Dr. Squires was the Michigan delegate to the American Chiropractic Association from 2004 to 2016 and is now also a member of its Board of Governors. He also serves on the Michigan Board of Chiropractic Examiners. He’s a Palmer Presidents Club member. Squires is active in numerous community organizations and is chairman of the Mason County Hospital Finance Authority Board. He has served as the chairman of the Mason County Board of Commissioners and is currently running unopposed for a commissioner position.

Palmer College of Chiropractic was founded in 1897 by the discoverer of chiropractic, D.D. Palmer, in Davenport, Iowa. Approximately 2,200 students attend Palmer College campuses in Davenport, San Jose, Calif., and Port Orange, Fla. There are more than 28,000 Palmer alumni, who make up more than one third of the approximately 75,000 chiropractors currently in practice worldwide. Palmer’s Doctor of Chiropractic curriculum is a five-academic-year program that’s typically completed in three-and-one-third calendar years.
