The Mason County Sheriff’s Office handled two separate arrests over the weekend that involved suspects resisting arrest, according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

The first incident occurred Saturday, Sept. 10, at 1:35 a.m. when a 23-year-old Scottville man was arrested for second-offense operating while intoxicated (OWI) and resisting/obstructing police following a traffic stop on Reek Road near Dewey Road in Sherman Township.

The second incident occurred Sunday, Sept. 11, at 2:50 a.m. in the 2000 block of Benson Road in Sheridan Township. A 46-year-old Fountain man was arrested after deputies went to a residence at the request of the Lake County Sheriff’s Office to apprehend a subject wanted in connection with a domestic violence call, Cole said. During the arrest the suspect struggled with deputies, he said.

  • 3:36 p.m., (MCSO), a 66-year-old Ludington man received minor injuries after a vehicle pulled into the path of the moped he was operating, Jebavy Drive and Rasmussen Road, Pere Marquette Township. The case remains under investigation.
  • 8:35 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injuries, Jebavy Drive and Jagger Road, Hamlin Township.

Saturday, Sept. 10, 2016:

  • 7:37 p.m., (MCSO), gas drive-off, $3.45 in fuel stolen, 5900 block of W. US 10 — Ludington EZ Mart, Pere Marquette Township.

Sunday, Sept. 11, 2016:

  • 1:24 a.m., (MCSO), a 28-year-old Fountain woman was arrested for driving while license suspended (DWLS) following a traffic stop, Hansen and Dennis roads, Amber Township.
  • 11:54 a.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle crash, no injuries, US 10-31 and Brye Road, Amber Township.
  • 12:22 p.m., (MCSO), gas drive-off, $20 in fuel stolen, 5900 block of W. US 10 — Ludington EZ Mart, Pere Marquette Township.
  • 3:16 p.m., (MCSO), a 65-year-old Scottville man was arrested for second-offense DWLS following a traffic stop, US 10 and Jackson Road, Pere Marquette Township.
  • 9:20 p.m., (Michigan State Police), a 49-year-old Ludington man was arrested for operating with a high blood alcohol content (BAC), Jebavy Drive and US 10, Pere Marquette Township.
  • 9:50 p.m., car/fox crash, no injuries, US 31 and Freeman Road, Grant Township.
