79th District Court sentencings, dismissals.

LUDINGTON — The following were recently sentenced in 79th District Court:

-Danyel Rebecca Horsley, 28, 503 N. Washington Ave., Apt 2, Ludington, pleaded guilty on August 2 to second degree retail fraud and was sentenced to 60 days in jail with credit for 30 days already served, one year discretionary jail for two years, must follow all counseling requirements, no drugs/alcohol, subject to random PBTs, defendant may be released from jail if inpatient treatment program becomes available, and must pay $840 in fines and costs.

-Krystal Lynn Hayes, 31, 302 N. Robert St., Apt 1., Ludington, pleaded guilty on August 2 to making a false report of a misdemeanor and was sentenced to 21 days in jail with credit for 21 days already served, must continue current outpatient counseling, 93 days discretionary jail for one year, no drugs/alcohol, subject to random PBTs, and must pay $600 in fines and costs. A charge of domestic violence was dismissed on the motion of the prosecutor with prejudice.

-Corrie Lynn Cook, 38, 5682 W. Johnson Rd., Pere Marquette Township, pleaded guilty on August 2 to disorderly person – jostling and was sentenced to five days in jail with credit for five days already served, must continue current outpatient counseling, 90 days discretionary jail for one year, no drugs/alcohol, subject to random PBTs, and must pay $350 in fines and costs. A charge of domestic violence second offense was dismissed on the motion of the prosecutor with prejudice.

-Joel Christopher Savich, 31, 7019 E. Stolberg Rd., Sheridan Township, pleaded guilty on August 2 to improper transport of medical marijuana and was sentenced to 93 days of discretionary jail for one year and must pay $535 in fines and costs.

-Daniel Joseph Meisenheimer Garber, 27, 1582 Lakeshore Dr., Hamlin Township, pleaded guilty on August 2 to possession of marijuana and was sentenced to five days in jail with credit for five days already served, one year discretionary jail for one year, must surrender driver’s license immediately, license suspended for 365 days, license restricted for 305 days, and must pay $535 in fines and costs. Conviction is reportable to Secretary of State.

-Kiel Jason Bode, 42, 4604 S. Pere Marquette Highway, Summit Township, pleaded guilty on August 2 to failure to maintain security (no vehicle insurance) and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days already served, one year discretionary jail for one year, and must pay $575 in fines and costs. Conviction is reportable to Secretary of State. Charges of improper plates and driving while license suspended/revoked/denied were dismissed on the motion of the prosecutor with prejudice.

-Patricia Lee Myers, 64, 2945 S. Grantsyn Trail, Branch, pleaded guilty on August 2 to third degree retail fraud and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail for one year, $600 in fines and costs, defendant may perform 60 hours of community service instead of paying fines and costs.

-David Allan Meyers, 52, 734 Watersedge Dr., Ann Arbor, pleaded guilty on August 2 to larceny less than $200 and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days already served, 93 days discretionary jail for one year, no contact with victims, must not hunt in Grant Township, and must pay $635 in fines and costs. A charge of assault and battery was dismissed on the motion of the prosecutor with prejudice.

-Robert Anthony Wolever Newcom, 35, 6670 E. US 10, Branch Township, pleaded guilty on August 2 to malicious destruction of personal property and was sentenced to eight days in jail with credit for eight days already served, 93 days discretionary jail for one year, no drugs/alcohol, subject to random PBTs, and must pay $600 in fines and costs.

-Jennifer Lynn Gilbert, 28, 322 E. Dowland St., Ludington, pleaded guilty on August 2 to assault and battery and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day already served, 93 days discretionary jail for one year, 38 hours of community service within four months, no contact with the victim, and must pay $600 in fines and costs.

-Matthew Alan Whitman, 28, 2855 Sandy Path, Stevensville, pleaded guilty on August 5 to failure to display a valid driver’s license and was sentenced to pay $275 in fines and costs. Conviction is reportable to Secretary of State.

-Isidra Lopez-Carrillo, 37, 620 S. State St., Hart, pleaded guilty on August 4 to driving while license suspended and was sentenced to pay $225 in fines and costs. Conviction is reportable to Secretary of State.

-Shaundell Corvell Dukes, 17, 761 E. Fremont. St. #2, Idlewild, pleaded guilty on August 4 to driving while license suspended/revoked/denied and was sentenced to 12 months of probation, 30 days discretionary jail for one year, and $285 in fines and costs. Conviction is reportable to Secretary of State.

-Boris Fidelis Radloff, 22, 2037 N. 8th St., Sheridan Township, pleaded guilty on August 4 to driving while unlicensed/never applied and was sentenced to pay $275 in fines and costs. Conviction is reportable to Secretary of State.

Dismissals

-Stephen John Silvers, 28, 3767 N. Shadybrooke Lane, Scottville, had a charge of operating without security (no insurance) dismissed on August 1. Court records state, “Defendant pleaded to reduced offenses.”

-Bobby Lee Nelson, 34, 6699 N. Oceana Dr., Hart, had a charge of operating without security (no insurance) dismissed on August 1. Court records state, “Defendant pleaded responsible to no proof of insurance.”

-Dale Gerald Edward Hauri, 48, 3859 W. Prairie Rd., Shepard, had charges of possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana and driving while license suspended/revoked/denied dismissed on August 3. According to court documents, “Defendant’s motion for dismissal is granted without prejudice.”
