PERE MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP — Mercy Health Ludington held a ribbon cutting ceremony Thursday marking the official opening of its new $3.9 million, 15,000 square-foot health care facility at 5656 W. US 10, on the northwest corner of the intersection of Jebavy Drive and US 10.

The new facility offers urgent care, primary care services, lab, imaging and specialty clinics. A full-service occupational medicine clinic will open August 15, opened 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. The new location also brings its existing neurosurgery clinic and Mercy Health Ludington’s current cardiology clinic, which has been serving the Ludington region for more than 30 years. The facility will eventually include behavioral health services in the next 60 days.

“The facility shatters traditional approaches of having patients move around to receive treatment,” said Jay Bryan, president and CEO of Mercy Health Lakeshore.

“We are providing our patients with a facility that is designed to reduce waiting times, enhance privacy, and improve staff efficiency, which will ultimately improve patient satisfaction and more importantly clinical outcomes,” Bryan said. “Our goal is to continue to look at what services we can enhance and offer to the lakeshore region that will better serve the region and its health care needs.”

The new facility’s design was developed by Mercy Health staff, including physicians, nurses and support staff, and patients, who collaborated with the developer and architect to ensure that the new office is patient focused.
