SUMMIT TOWNSHIP — A 56-year-old Ludington man was arrested for third-offense operating while intoxicated Tuesday, July 12, at 1:43 a.m. following a 911 call reporting a nude man wandering around the parking area of the Ludington Rest Area on US 31.

“As a Mason County Sheriff’s deputy approached the vehicle in question, the suspect drove away but was stopped leaving the rest area,” said Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

• 1:25 p.m., two-vehicle crash, no injuries, US 10 and Main Street, Village of Custer.

• 1:35 p.m., a 37-year-old Fountain man was arrested for parole violation, 800 block of N. Benson Road, Branch Township.

• 2:36 p.m., a 25-year-old Manistee woman was arrested for retail fraud at Walmart, 4800 block of W. US 10, Pere Marquette Township.

• 4:06 p.m., two-vehicle crash, with injuries, Dewey and Amber roads, Victory Township. See story here.
