SCOTTVILLE — Aaron Sayers had heard his neighbors in the 500 block of North Thomas Street talking about a bear in the neighborhood but hadn’t seen it until Tuesday morning.
“I was opening up my curtains and saw it, about 3 feet away, and I jumped, said an expletive and tried to get my phone out as soon possible so I could take a picture,” Sayers said. “After I took the picture it got spooked by a runner and bolted east into the woods.”
Tom Alway of Amber Township also spotted a bear Tuesday morning near the corner of Stiles and Johnson roads.
