There will be two opportunities for citizens to get to know the candidates in local and state election races on Wednesday, July 13.

The Ludington Senior Center, 308 S. Rowe St., is hosting a forum beginning at 1 p.m. while Mason County Press and Scottville Optimist Club are hosting a forum that evening, beginning at 6 p.m. at the Scottville Clown Band Shell.

Both forums will include candidates running for 101st District State House of Representatives, county clerk and county commission, along with county surveyor. The Ludington forum will feature candidates running for Ludington city treasurer and city council. The Scottville forum will also feature uncontested candidates such as sheriff and prosecutor as well. All local candidates have been invited.
