Garneau exhibit 3LUDINGTON — The art of the late Carol Garneau will be featured this summer at Ludington Area Center for the Arts. The exhibit will run from June 7 through July 29.

Garneau passed away in 2014. She was a graduate of Ludington High School and worked as a nurse. She was married to Dr. Robert Garneau. She took up painting in the early 1970s concentrating in watercolors and later ventured into oils.  She was a regular participant in Ludington art shows and was also a member of the Center for the Arts Bonita Springs, Florida. She traveled extensively and incorporated her love of art into her travels, taking classes, painting landscapes, and captured the culture of the people of her travels. Numerous individuals have donated some of her works for display.

A reception will be held on July 8 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the center, located at the intersection of Harrison and Loomis streets.
