VICTORY TOWNSHIP — West Shore Community College’s Board of Trustees recently evaluated its president, Dr. Kenneth Urban.
The consensus of the Board is that Urban has met the board’s overall expectations. The board did note areas where its members believe Urban can continue to make progress, including some elements of leadership and building the campus community.
“The Board has conducted its first annual evaluation of Dr. Kenneth Urban that included a review of his leadership, diversity and respect, accountability, professional development, community building, decision making and job performance,” said board Chairman Jim Jensen.
“The Board looks forward to working with Dr. Urban during the next year.”
All Board members were present for the closed session in which it discussed Urban’s job performance. The Michigan Open Meetings Act allows for boards to go into close session to discuss personnel issues when the personnel in question requests such action.
Urban started at West Shore in July 2015.
