Free Soil man injured in motorcycle crash.

FREE SOIL TOWNSHIP — A 19-year-old Free Soil Township man was injured Friday when the motorcycle he was riding collided into a tree. The man was driving the Yamaha TT-R230 west on Poplar Road and entered the curve onto North Reek Road when the bike left the roadway, according to Mason County Sheriff Deputy Ken Baum on the scene. The man was ejected from the motorcycle and struck a tree.

Initial dispatch information stated the man had an injured leg and back.

Responding to the scene were Mason County Sheriff’s Office, Michigan Department of Natural Resources officers, Free Soil/Meade Fire Department and Grant Township Fire Department. The man was transported to Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital by Life EMS ambulance.
