Break-in at Hamlin Grocery among police activity.

hamlin groceryHAMLIN TOWNSHIP — Mason County Sheriff’s deputies were called to investigate a breaking and entering of Hamlin Grocery Monday, May 9, at 2:30 p.m., according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

The store, located in the 3900 block of N. Jebavy Dr., has been closed since April 18 due to back taxes being owed. The store’s owner, Vaughn Flewelling, was reported missing, April 10. The Mason County Sheriff’s Office concluded its investigation of the 47-year-old’s disappearance the night of April 13 after video footage from Muskegon revealed he had boarded a Greyhound bus to travel out of state.
