Great Lakes FordAMBER TOWNSHIP — Great Lakes Ford recently donated $5,000 to the American Heart Association for the purpose of purchasing CPR education equipment. The equipment in turn is being used at O.J. DeJonge Middle School in Ludington.

“Our plan is to have all O.J. DeJonge Middle School students learn CPR as a regular part of our health/physical education curriculum,” said Principal Kristi Zimmerman.

“I believe as a small business owner, that I have a responsibility to give back to the community,” said Chris Zeppenfeld, owner of Great Lakes Ford. “This area is a great place to be and donating back to the community is just our way of assuring that those values continue long into the future.

“In addition, this donation may actually save someone’s life someday. I find that very comforting and realize that it’s a small price to pay.”

Great Lakes Ford is located at 3045 W. US 10-31 between Ludington and Scottville. The store can be reached at 231-845-5111 orwww.greatlakesfordludington.com.
