LUDINGTON — A 37-year-old Branch man faces 70 months to 30 years in prison for three felony counts involving alleged sex crimes.

Charles Clayton Rose, Jr., of 479 S. Tyndall Rd., is charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct (CSC); second-degree CSC and accosting a child for immoral purposes.

Mason County Prosecutor Paul Spaniola presented a plea offer Tuesday, March 15, in 51st Circuit Court, in which Rose could plead guilty to all three counts and serve a minimum of 70 months to a maximum of 30 years prison with lifetime electronic monitoring and sex offender registration.

Rose was arrested by the Mason County Sheriff’s Office, Nov. 1.

Rose’s attorney, David Glancy, requested that the final conference hearing be adjourned for 30 days to obtain additional information and consider the prosecution’s plea offer, which Judge Susan K. Sniegowski allowed.
