Suspect gives false name to cop, the name she gives is that of a wanted person

servpro_springstead_022616BRANCH TOWNSHIP — A 36-year-old Newaygo woman was arrested after she allegedly gave a false name to a Mason County Sheriff’s deputy during a traffic stop Wednesday, March 9 at 10:37 p.m. on Benson Road, north of US 10.

Unfortunately for the suspect, the name she provided to the deputy was the name of a suspended and wanted person, according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole. The woman was then arrested for giving false information to a police officer, driving while license suspended, and driving without insurance.
