Western Fire District millage passes.

LUDINGTON — The Mason County Western Fire District’s request for a 20 year renewal of .3 mill passed Tuesday night by voters in the City of Ludington, Hamlin Township and Pere Marquette Township: 3,154 yes and 826 no.

The levy raises about $275,000 a year to fund the purchase and upkeep of apparatus for Ludington, Hamlin and Pere Marquette fire departments.
