LUDINGTON — The following were sentenced recently in 79th District Court:

Joseph Lawrence Chellis, 37, of 239 E. Harris St., Lansing, was found guilty March 1 of operating while intoxicated and sentenced to $1,070 in fines and costs; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; jail credit for time served; must attend the session of the Victims’ Impact Panel (VIP); must have a substance evaluation and follow recommendations; no alcohol/drugs; and subject to random preliminary breath tests (PBTs). Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS). One count of second-offense driving while license suspended (DWLS) and one count of transporting open intoxicants were dismissed.

Brian Edward Hissong, 43, of 2090 S. Kinter Rd., Custer Township, was found guilty Feb. 29 of three counts of general violation of wildlife conservation and sentenced to $500 in fines and costs and 90 days discretionary jail for one year.

Troy Gregory Oleson, 41, of 9121 Brookside Dr., Whitmore Lake, Michigan, was found guilty Feb. 24 of second-offense domestic violence and sentenced to one year discretionary jail for two years; jail credit for time served; and $665 in fines and costs.

Richard David Kaczmarek, 40, of 2558 Maple Rd., Manistee, was found guilty Feb. 24 of wildlife – taking game and sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail for six months; $335 in fines and costs; firearm, case and ammunition ordered forfeited; and $355 in fines and costs. One count of firearms possession by a felon dismissed.

Lee Daniel Rasmussen, 45, of 5813 Iris Rd., Pere Marquette Township, was found guilty Feb. 24 of attempted assaulting/resisting/obstructing police and sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; one year discretionary jail for two years; and $535 in fines and costs.

Charles Douglas Richards, 39, of 202 S. Washington Ave., Apt. 2, Ludington, was found guilty March 1 of failure to maintain security (no vehicle insurance) and sentenced to one year discretionary jail for one year; jail credit for time served; and $575 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of improper plates dismissed.

Taylyn Louise Leonard, 30, of 105 E. Foster St., Ludington, was found guilty March 2 of failure to display a valid license and sentenced to $275 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

Alex Christian Jobbins-Ortiz, 20, of S. Madison St., Ludington, was found guilty Feb. 25 of DWLS and sentenced to $285 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
