VICTORY TOWNSHIP — Students participating this year in the West Shore Educational Service District’s Career & Technical Education (CTE) digital media program had an opportunity to submit a photograph into a class photograph competition. The top three winners were Devin Battenfield of Mason County Central High School, Calvin Chase of Walkerville High School, and Lauren Keller of Mason County Central.
Student photos were selected by a panel of local photographers and designers including: Rob Alway, photography professor at WSCC and editor-in-chief/owner of Media Group 31, LLC (owner of Mason County Press, Manistee County Press and Oceana County Press); Randy Boerema, owner of Lake FX Media; and Jen Tooman, Downtown Ludington marketing & events manager and owner of The Design Duck.
Joel Spotts, of Mason County Central, was selected by his peers and earned hnorable mention in the contest.
The top 10 students from both the morning and afternoon sessions represented Baldwin High School, Ludington High School, Mason County Central High School, Manistee High School and Walkerville High School.
