LUDINGTON — The following were sentenced recently in 79th District Court:

Todd Louis Luft, 53, of 210 E. State St., Scottville, was found guilty Feb. 2 of operating a vehicle while impaired (OWI) and sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; Alcohol Highway Safety Education (AHSE); $870 in fines and costs; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; and must attend next session of the Victims’ Impact Panel (VIP). Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS). One count of transporting open intoxicants was dismissed.

Mohamed Ali Hassan, 25, of 415 S. Hart St., Hart, was found guilty Feb. 2 of third-degree retail fraud (shoplifting) and sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail for one year and $589.71 in fines, costs and restitution.

Donald Victor Wilbur, 48, of 1386 S. State St., Ionia, was found guilty Feb. 2 of operating with a blood alcohol content (BAC) over .17 and sentenced to 60 days in jail with credit for two days served or obtain Soberlink for one year before Feb. 22; outpatient treatment; $1,560 in fines and costs; 180 days discretionary jail for two years; no alcohol/drugs; must attend session of VIP; must attend AA three times per week; and after he is released from Soberlink, he is subject to random preliminary breath tests (PBTs).Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of third-offense operating under the influence of liquor (OUIL) was dismissed.

Derek Michael Routley, 26, of 936 Maple St., Ludington, was found guilty Feb. 2 of breaking and entering without owner’s permission and pleaded “no contest” to domestic violence. He was sentenced to seven days in jail with credit for seven days served; outpatient treatment; $1,185 in fines and costs; 90 days discretionary jail for one year for count 1; and 93 days discretionary jail for one year for count 2.

Bradley Joseph Fredricks, 56, of 2600 Hiawatha Trail, Muskegon, was found guilty Feb. 4 of recreational trespass and sentenced to $265 in fines and costs.

Aaron Shawn Gancarz, 51, of 1894 4 Mile Rd., Grand Rapids, was found guilty Feb. 4 of recreational trespass on farmland and sentenced to $265 in fines and costs.

Christopher Robert Cossette, 51, of 6196 S. Eden Lake Rd., Eden Township, was found guilty Feb. 4 of recreational trespass on farmland and sentenced to $265 in fines and costs.

Dennis Timothy Heyse, 58, of 2928 N. Tuttle Rd., Sherman Township, was found guilty Feb. 4 of recreational trespass on farmland and sentenced to $265 in fines and costs.

James Russell Daugherty, 60, of 3624 W. Forest Hill Circle, Ludington, was found guilty Feb. 4 of trespassing and sentenced to 30 hours of community service in lieu of fines and costs. One count of trespassing was dismissed.
