79th District Court arraignments include stalking, writing bad checks.

LUDINGTON — The following were arraigned recently in front of the 79th District Court Magistrate:

Felonies

Hoggs

– Eric Zelek Hoggs, 40, no address listed, was arrested Jan. 13 by the Ludington Police Department (LPD) for felonies of aggravated stalking and using a computer to commit a crime. Probable cause hearing: Jan. 27 at 3 p.m. Bail: $25,000/cash/surety.

Piehl

– Nicholas James Piehl, 21, of 810 N. James St., Ludington, was arrested Jan. 15 by the Ludington Police Department for a felony of non-sufficient-fund check over $500. Probable cause hearing: Jan. 27 at 1:15 p.m. Bail: $7,500, cash/surety/10 percent cash.

Misdemeanors

– Gabriel Elizabeth Maile, 25, of 503 S. Staffon St., Ludington; Jan. 13; Mason County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO); embezzlement – agent or trustee and third-degree retail fraud. Pretrial: Feb. 22 at 9:45 a.m. Bail: $2,500/personal.

– Dylan Thomas Sorenson, 20, of 207 Gibson Rd., Branch Township; Jan. 9; Michigan State Police, Hart post (MSP); failure to maintain security. Pretrial: Feb. 8 at 3 p.m. Bail: $1,500/personal.

– Latresha Rae Palethorpe, 47, of 3811 N. US 31, Victory Township; Jan. 14; MSP; failure to maintain security. Pretrial: Feb. 8 at 3:15 p.m. Bail: $1,500/personal.

– Paige Renee Perysian, 23, of 501 E. Broadway Ave., Scottville; Jan. 14; MCSO; possession of marijuana. Pretrial: Feb. 8 at 10:15 a.m. Bail: $2,500/personal.

– Thomas Leroy Rees, 27, of 5988 Sixth St., Ludington; Jan. 14; MSP; failure to maintain security (no vehicle insurance). Pretrial: Feb. 1 at 11:45 a.m. Bail: $1,500/personal.
