SCOTTVILLE — Scottville City Commission is going to review parking times in the 100 blocks of Main Street. During the commission’s Jan. 4 meeting, it passed a resolution to limit the parking times on the west side of the 100 block of North Main Street to two hours. Since that time, City Attorney Tracy Thompson has recommended the commission be more specific on the resolution, such as which parking areas and parking times.

City Manager Amy Williams said she has also received feedback from businesses and residents that the commission should review parking in the other areas. The commission has passed the topic to the Downtown Development Authority and the Planning Commission for those two boards to discuss and make recommendations.

Commissioner Ann Genson said she would be reluctant to support limiting parking in the other areas to two hours.
