SCOTTVILLE — The Mason County Road Commission has announced that its evening crews will be focusing on state highways and major county roads tonight.

“The National Weather Service is forecasting continued dangerous travel conditions with blowing snow over the roadways,” said Wayne Schoonover, manager/director of Mason County Road Commission. “This is creating rapid changes in the road conditions and visibility. Time to Frostbite from exposure is less than 30 minutes. These conditions are expected to last into and through Wednesday night.

“Current Road Commission crews are finishing a full day of snow plowing.  Many roads are drifting closed shortly behind them.  Remaining crews will be focusing on the state highways and the county major primary collectors.  Crews will starting tomorrow morning at 6 a.m.”
